Two killed, 15 injured in separate accidents in Parasi



NAWALPARASI: Two persons died while 15 others injured in separate accidents in Parasai on Thursday.

According to district police West Nawalparasi office, the accident occurred at Sarawal Rural Municipality-1 Basa when a car — Lu 1 Cha 9622 — heading toward East collided with a bike — Lu 35 Pa 3127 — coming from the opposite direction.

Motorbike rider Ratna Bahadur Kami, 53, of Bardaghat who was critically injured in the mishap died while undergoing treatment at local Prithvi Chandra hospital, according to police.

Likewise, a motorbike rider Iswara Bahdur Karki, 41, of Sarawal-1 was killed when his bike – Lu 14 pa 2234 – collided with a stationary truck — Na2 Kha 7483 — at Sarwal-Tulsipura area.

Similarly, 15 passengers were injured when a bus — Ba 4 Kha 8487 — overturned at Bardaghat Municipality-2 Chisapani. The bus was heading to Dhangadhi from Kathmandu.

The injured are undergoing treatment at Butawal Hospital.
