America-Canada border checkpoints closed down over COVID-19

KATHMANDU: With the coronavirus going pandemic across the world, America-Canada border checkpoints have been closed down.

With the closure of border checkpoints, non-essential cross-border travels will be restricted effective from today until further notice.

Posting a twitter message, American President Donald Trump said America-Canada cross-border checkpoints have been closed down except for essential travels at the bilateral mutual agreement.

Trump further said that the shutdown of border checkpoints will not affect bilateral trades.
