Kathmandu Valley records 281 fresh COVID-19 cases

KATHMANDU: As many as 281 persons have been infected with COVID-19 in the Kathmandu Valley in the last 24 hours.

According to the Ministry of Health and Population, 224 cases have been confirmed in Kathmandu, 19 in Bhaktapur, and 38 in Lalitpur.

Meanwhile, the country recorded a total of 710 new cases of coronavirus infection in the past 24 hours.

According to the Ministry of Health and Population, the coronavirus tally reached 253,184 in the country as of Saturday afternoon.

Likewise, the Ministry shared that now the country has 8,840 reported active cases of the virus.

In the past 24 hours, altogether 1,175 infected people got recovery from the virus infection. So far, 242,567 people recovered from the coronavirus infection in the country.

Similarly, 12 persons succumbed to the virus across the country in the past 24 hours, hitting the total COVID-19 related deaths to 1,777.
