Kidnapper on the run nabbed after 6 years

KATHMANDU: A kidnapper who ran away opening fire at police six years ago has been nabbed from Kathmandu on Monday.

According to DIG Sahakul Thapa, the CIB Chief, Ramesh Meche, 38, the main kidnapper of Sunil Kumar Agrawal of Birtamode-6 has been sent to Jhapa after he was arrested from a hotel near New Buspark in Kathmandu.

Meche together with Bajrang Pansari had kidnapped Agrawal and taken him to a lonely home in an ambulance.

After finding that the police traced the place, Meche had fled from the site opening fire at police.

Jhapa District Court has declared seven years jail and 150 thousand rupees as fine against him in kidnapping and murder attempt case.
