State-owned Trading company starts selling goats for Dashain (in pics)



KATHMANDU: State-owned Food Management and Trading Company Limited has started selling goats from today for Dashain festival. It is being sold from the provincial office premises at Thapathali.

The company has stated that the goats will be sold at Rs 560 per kg. Information Officer of the company Sharmila Neupane informed that the company is offering a discount of Rs. 10 per kg to the customers.

In the first phase, FMTD bought 200 goats from Dang and 205 from Makwanpur in Kathmandu. This time, they are preparing to sell a total of 1,000 goats.

The government has been selling goats and himlayan goats since a decade.
