Karnali Province COVID-19 tally crosses 5,000-mark

SURKHET: The Karnali Province has recorded more than 5,000 cases of coronavirus infection.

According to the Ministry of Social Development, a total of 103 individuals are found infected in the Province in the past 24 hours. It is said that 63 new cases are from Surkhet, 23 from Dailekh, seven each from Salyan and Rukum West, and each one from Jumla, Jajarkot, and Kalikot districts.

The record shows that the Province witnessed 5,138 infected cases till today. Similarly, 134 patients have returned home after complete recovery in the past 24 hours.

According to the Ministry, altogether 1,132 people are in different isolation centers in the Province. The total deaths caused by the virus reached 13 so far in the Province.
