Cancer Hospital shuts services as COVID-19 Hospital



NEPALGUNJ: After offering service as Coronavirus Special Hospital to 197 people, the Khajura-based Sushil Koirala Prakhar Cancer Hospital has shut down its services as Coronavirus Special Hospital.

Allocating 50 beds, including two beds for ventilator, six ICU beds, the hospital was declared a Corona Special Isolation Hospital on May 1.

Bhakta Bahadur KC, Chairman of the Hospital, informed that with the discharge of 22 patients after recovery on Saturday, the hospital has shut down its Corona special services and resumed cancer-related care and services.

Province 5 government has decided to let this cancer hospital resume service as a cancer hospital after establishing a 72 bed Corona Special Hospital in the Nepalgunj-based Bheri Hospital.
