Country heading towards socialism-oriented economy: Sherchan



KASKI: Governor of Gandaki State Amik Sherchan has extended best wishes to all Nepali brothers and sisters at home and abroad for their peace, happiness, progress and prosperity on the occasion of the 5th Constitution Day and National Day 2077.

In a message today, the head of Gandaki state has wished that national unity, national integrity, collaboration and mutual goodwill are established in the country.

“Nepal’s Constitution has guaranteed human rights, press freedom and inclusive democracy while adopting a federal democratic republic,” he has said in the message.

Sherchan has also stated that the country was heading towards building a socialism-oriented economy following the notion of an egalitarian society with social justice, as envisaged by the Constitution.
