Constitution Day symbol of national unity, peace and prosperity: Dahal



KATHMANDU:  Nepal Communist Party Chairman Pushpa Kamal Dahal has expressed hope that the Fifth Constitution Day will bring in national unity, peace and prosperity in the country.

Releasing a video message on the Constitution Day on Saturday, Chirman Dahal said the constitution which is in our hand today is the result of the 12-point agreement, historic Maoist insurgency and the people’s movement.

This constitution is homegrown and unique in itself as it was promulgated through the Constituent Assembly in the history of Nepal.

Thanking all the Nepali people living in the country and abroad on the occasion of the fifth Constitution Day, Dahal said the country now is moving ahead to realize the aspirations of the people ensuring unity, peace, prosperity, independence and social justice.

Meanwhile, he called on all the Nepali people to stand united to achieve the goal as spelt ou in the constitution.
