Security forces kill militant in Jammu & Kashmir



NEW DELHI: Security forces killed a militant in an encounter in Shopian district of Jammu and Kashmir on Wednesday, Indian media reports have said.

The security forces had launched a cordon and search operation in the area based on inputs about the presence of militants in Chitragam village.

The search operation then turned into encounter after the militants fired on the forces.
