PSG beats Leipzig 3-0 to reach 1st Champions League final

KATHMANDU: Paris St-Germain (PSG) has reached the final of the Champions League by defeating RB Leipzig 3-0.

PSG took the lead with 2-0 goals against Leipzig in the first half after Marquinhos scored a goal in the 13th minute and Angel di Maria doubled the tally in the 42nd minute.

Juan Bernat sealed the win in the second half with a header that Leipzig felt was offside but was legitimate as the prone Nordi Mukiele, who had slipped in the build-up, was playing the scorer onside.

Prior to PSG’s second, Yussuf Poulsen had Leipzig’s best chance but fired wide after he was found by a Dani Olmo pull-back.

Bernat PSG will find out who they face in Sunday’s final when five-time winner Bayern Munich plays Lyon in the other semi-final on Wednesday.
