Parliament committee instructs Ministry to notify women’s security situation



KATHMANDU: The Women and Social Committee under the House of Representatives has instructed the Ministry of Women, Children and Senior Citizens to assess and notify the current situation of women’s security through the use of indicators.

Nepal has adopted a National Action Plan on Women, Peace and Security of the United Nations.

Chairperson of the Committee Niru Devi Pal instructed Ministry to inform the Committee in writing of the results of the Action Plan.

She said so after exchange of experiences of lawmakers and chairpersons of the respective social committees of all State Assemblies on women, peace and security amid a program organized by the Committee in Kathmandu today.
