Govt decides to transfer unspent amount of MP Fund to COVID-19 Fund



KATHMANDU: The government has decided to transfer the unspent amount of Local Infrastructure Development Partnership Program popularly known as the MP Fund.

Announcing the decision of the Council of Ministers, Spokesperson of the government, Minister of Finance, Communications and Information Technology, Dr. Yuvaraj Khatiwada informed that arrangements have been made to deposit the unspent amount for the current fiscal year in the COVID-19 fund of the local level.

A Cabinet meeting held on Tuesday amendment the regulations for the transfer of the amount, he said, adding that the amount should be spent within the fiscal year.
