Gulmi COVID-19 patient on ventilator support in Rupandehi



GULMI: Coronavirus infection has been confirmed for the first time in the district on Monday.

A 41-year-old man of Madane Rural Municipality of the district has been found infected with the coronavirus.

A test conducted at the Province Public Health Laboratory in Bhairahawa today confirmed that he was infected.

He had come to the Crimson Hospital in Tilottama, Rupandehi for treatment. He was admitted to ICU on the first day after coming to Rupandehi for treatment due to jaundice. On the second day, he was put on ventilator support.

The hospital is treating him in the Intensive Care Unit (ICU) as his health condition is deteriorating. Preparations are underway to seal the hospital after the corona infection was confirmed.
