Dhankuta District Hospital sealed after nurse diagnosed with Coronavirus

KATHMANDU: Dhankuta bazaar area has been sealed after a female health worker at Dhankuta District Hospital tested positive for Coronavirus.

An emergency meeting of District Crisis Management Committee held on Sunday night decided to seal Dhankuta District Hospital and its surrounding areas to stem Coronavirus spread.

According to Jaya Ram Shrestha, Information Officer at the District Administration Office, vegetable market area, zero point, Parichayamod, Yalambar Chowk, Madhuganga Cinema Hall, Tribeni Area have been sealed.

Meanwhile, a joint squad from Nepal Army, Nepal Police Armed Police Force have been deployed to strictly implement the decision.

A 34-year-old nurse working at Dhankuta District Hospital was diagnosed with the novel virus during a test carried out at BP Koirala Institute of Health and Sciences.

Fear has gripped Dhankuta Bazaar area enforcing the locals to stay indoors after the first infection case of Coronavirus was found in Dhankuta district.
