1 buried to death, 3 injured as mound of earth collapses in Kavre



KAVRE: A person was buried to death and three others injured after a mound of earth caved in at Fuldanda-4 of Khanitkhola rural municipality.

The deceased has been identified as 24-year-old Arina Gole, a local, according to DSP Kumar Bikram Thapa of District Police Office, Kavre.

The incident took place while they were digging out clay from a pit for the decoration of their houses on Friday.

Her dead body has been kept at Schemer Memorial Hospital in Dhulikhel for postmortem.

Other injured Erina Gole, 20 and Sanisha Gole, 12, are undergoing treatment at Schemer Memorial Hospital while nine-year-old Enisha Gole has returned home after treatment at Taldhunga-based health post.

The injured had been airlifted on a helicopter, informed DSP Thapa.

Meanwhile, five people sustained injuries when a Scorpio jeep, Ba 11 Cha 1541, they were traveling in, met with an accident at Panchkhal municipality-8.

The vehicle was heading to Dhulikhel from Sindhupalchowk.
