Bangladesh reports first Covid-19 death



DHAKA: Bangladesh, a South-Asian country, has reported its first Covid-19 related death.

A 70-year-old man died on Tuesday, Bangladesh media reports said on Wednesday.

Prof Meerjady Sabrina Flora, Director of the Institute of Epidemiology, Disease Control and Research, revealed the information today.

Flora said that the man, who was kept at the Intensive Care Unit, had diabetes and kidney problems.

So far, 14 people have tested positive for Covid-19 in Bangladesh, media reports said.
