COVID-19 effect: Govt shuts educational institutions till April 12

KATHMANDU: The government of Nepal has decided to shut academic instructions including colleges, universities and schools till April 12.

However, the Secondary Education Examinations (SEE) that begins from Thursday will be conducted, a meeting of the high-level government committee constituted to prevent the virus infection in the country said on Wednesday.

The decision to this effect has come as part of the government’s efforts to address the growing fears of coronavirus infection.

Likewise, the government has urged people not to go out of the house unless urgent.

The government has also barred people from public gatherings of more than 25 persons.
