National Assembly passes condolence motion



KATHMANDU: The National Assembly has passed a condolence proposal on the passing of former lawmaker Bhagawat Gyawali.

Assembly Chair Ganesh Prasad Timilsina had presented the proposal in the Upper House of the Federal Parliament and the House passed it unanimously. A minute’s silence was also observed praying for the eternal peace to the departed soul.

He was elected to the House of Representatives from Gulmi District constituency 2 on a Nepali Congress ticket in the general election held in 2048BS.

The first district president of the Nepali Congress, Gyawali passed away at Alka Hospital in Lalitpur this morning. He was 75. He was being treated for an ulcer.
