Airbus used to evacuate Nepalis from China resumes flights today

KATHMANDU: The wide-body airbus of Nepal Airlines Corporation (NAC) which was used to airlift 175 Nepalis from Chinese Wuhan City reeling under the coronavirus has resumed its usual flights from Tuesday.

Since the quarantine of the aircraft is over, the flight is resuming from Tuesday, NAC Spokesperson Archana Khadka told Khabarhub.

“We are resuming flights from today after having kept the wide-body in the quarantine determined by the World Health Organization (WHO) and the Nepal government,” said Khadka.

Annapurna airbus of NAC is scheduled to fly to Qatar of Doha from Tribhuvan International Airport (TIA) this evening.

Deep cleaning was conducted on airbus this morning after opening the seal that had veiled the aircraft during the quarantine. All the seat covers have been replaced and cleaned to make them infection free.

The airbus had been sealed and kept on the parking lot of TIA in the course of quarantine, according to Khadka.
