NCP Spokesperson Shrestha claims party would take final decision on MCC soon



MYAGDI: Spokesperson of the ruling Nepal Communist Party (NCP), Narayan Kaji Shrestha, has said that the party would take the final decision on the Millennium Challenge Corporation (MCC) soon. He said that the party would make the decision keeping in the center of nationalism.

Speaking at the program organized by Press Organization Myagdi Chapter on Saturday, he added that when the ruling NCP itself witnessed dispute in terms of passing the MCC from the parliament, the party studies well on national sovereignty and development and makes a decision accordingly.

The MCC is mega assistance provided by the US government for Nepal’s roadway and electricity transmission development.

He, however, said it was not good to delay anymore on MCC’s decision. Party’s secretariat meeting has been directed to take appropriate decisions on it.

So, the forthcoming meeting makes the final decision, the Spokesperson added.

Similarly, he said even the stalemate on Speaker of the House of Representatives would fizzle out soon.

He argued that the present government was investigating the wrongdoings in the country and bringing out facts. Leader Shrestha arrived here in course of the publicity of the National Assembly election.
