Man convicted of forging govt seal nabbed



KATHMANDU: The Central Investigation Bureau (CIB) of Nepal Police has arrested a man convicted in a case of forgery of government seal.

A team of the Bureau arrested Gopal Bahadur Thapa, 55, of Gorkha, who was absconding after being sentenced to one-year imprisonment and a fine of Rs 3.6 million as per the decision of the Supreme Court.

Bureau Spokesperson Superintendent of Police Bel Bahadur Pandey said that Thapa was arrested from Kathmandu Metropolitan City-4 Dhumbarahi on Thursday.

He said that Thapa was sent to Kathmandu District Court, Babarmahal today to implement the verdict.
