Chitwan DAO directs people not to organize celebrations during festivals



CHITWAN: Given COVID-19 risks, the district administration office here has directed the general public not to organize any celebrations and jatras on the occasion of festivals.

Programs except family gatherings have been banned, said Chief District Officer Netra Prasad Sharma.

“Worshipping except puja at temples and shrines has been banned during Navaratri. Organizers have been asked not to organize any sorts of celebration in the district,” said CDO Sharma.

Those flouting the direction of the local administration during this crisis would face action as per the Infectious Disease Act, 2020, he added.
