Energy Minister Pun in quarantine after bodyguard tests COVID-19 positive



KATHMANDU: Minister for Energy, Water Resources and Irrigation Barshaman Pun has been in quarantine after a bodyguard deployed for his security tested coronavirus positive.

Minister Pun is staying in the quarantine of the minister’s residence in Lalitpur after the bodyguard was found to be infected with the coronavirus during a PCR test on 30 members of the minister’s secretariat on Friday morning.

He will stay in the quarantine five days and another test will be held on the fifth day, said Dayanidhi Bhatta, Minister Pun’s press coordinator.
