WASHINGTON: United States’ former first lady Michelle Obama has hailed presumptive Democratic presidential candidate Joe Biden as “capable” for a country of “compassionate, resilient, decent people.”
She criticized President Donald Trump for lacking the ability to understand the feelings and experiences of other people.
Wrapping up the first of four nights of a virtual Democratic national convention, she argued that Trump had failed to respond to economic and social crises and the coronavirus pandemic while turning away from international alliances built by the previous administrations.
“Donald Trump is the wrong president for our country,” she said adding, “He has had more than enough time to prove that he can do the job, but he is clearly in over his head.”
