NC Vice President of Nawalparasi (West) dies of COVID-19



KATHMANDU: The Vice President of Nepali Congress Nawalparasi (West) Suvash Giri has succumbed to death due to coronavirus pandemic.

According to NC lawmaker Debendra Raj Kandel, Giri died at 6 am on Tuesday morning.

Giri, who had gone through a liver operation in Butwal, had tested coronavirus positive after getting discharged from the hospital.

He was referred to Patan Hospital and was undergoing treatment there.

According to lawmaker Kandel, he was shifted to ventilator on Monday citing the respiratory hazards.

Patan Hospital source informed that Nepal Army is making arrangements for the final rituals of deceased Giri.
