Landslide disrupts Siddhartha Highway, truck buried



BUTWAL: The Tansen-Butwal road section has been disrupted after the incessant rain-triggered landslide disrupted the Siddhartha Highway on Friday night.

The Tansen-Butwal road stretch has been obstructed since early morning due to the landslide.

The landslide reoccurred again without clearing the debris brought by the landslide yesterday.

A truck, Lu 1 Ka 1175, has also been buried by the landslide.

Madan Giri, Deputy Superintendent of Police (DSP) of Palpa District Police Office, informed that the highway traffic has been disrupted due to the landslide near Gaundepool in Tansen-8.

They are facing difficulty to remove the debris from the highway due to continuous rain, police said.
