NC lawmaker Adhikari hopeful of Indian cooperation on border issue

KATHMANDU:  Nepali Congress lawmaker Radhe Shyam Adhikari has hoped that India will listen to the appeal of the Nepali people and not escalate the Nepal-India border issue further.

Speaking at a meeting of the National Assembly on Thursday, Adhikari said it is the issue of 400 square kilometers and India will settle the Nepal-border issue.

Meanwhile, he urged one and all to maintain restraints while making comments on the border issue.

Lawmakers of the National Assembly are deliberating on the constitution amendment bill to endorse it to implement the new map of Nepal incorporating Kalapani, Limpiyadhura, and Lipu Lekh today.

The House of Representatives (HoR) has unanimously endorsed the Constitution amendment bill to change the coat of arms.

The amendment bill was tabled in the NA on Sunday.
