Three including police constable contract coronavirus in Bhaktapur



BHAKTAPUR: Three people including a police official were infected with coronavirus on Wednesday in Bhaktapur district.

According to SP Sabin Pradhan, chief of Metropolitan Police Range, Bhaktapur, a 32-year-old police constable of Changunarayan municipality tested positive for coronavirus.

With the confirmed case, 12 police officials of information section of the metropolis range have been kept in quarantine. Infected police was working in the information department of the Metropolitan Police Range, Bhaktapur.

“We have sealed the information department. We have kept 12 other police officials working in the same department in quarantine as per the standards set by the World Health Organization,” said Pradhan.

“The swabs of those kept in quarantine will be collected and sent for PCR testing,” said Pradhan.

The swab of the police official had been collected on June 13 and its PCR result came out positive on Wednesday.
