US death death toll climbs to 34, 580 after 2,137 die in 24 hrs



KATHMANDU: The United States of America (USA), the worst-hit in terms of both deaths and infection cases, has witnessed 34, 580 deaths after 2,137 died in the last 24 hours.

With 29, 053 new cases, the number of infection cases has reached 677,056.

Currently, 566, 205 coronavirus patients are undergoing treatment at various hospitals across America, of which the condition of 13, 369 is critical.  Meanwhile, 57,271 have recovered after treatment.

New York City is the worst-hit with 16, 106 deaths followed by New Jersey and Michigan with 3,518 and 2, 093 deaths, respectively.

The US Department of Health and Human Services (HHS) had declared Coronavirus a public health emergency on January 31 in the US.

Broke out in Wuhan City of China last December, the deadly virus has spread to 210 countries including two international conveyances across the world, killing 145,417 and infecting 2,180,003 people as of Friday morning.
