North Korean envoy calls on Speaker Sapkota

KATHMANDU: North Korean Ambassador to Nepal Jo Young Men paid a courtesy call on Speaker of the House of Representatives Agni Prasad Sapkota at the latter’s office in Singha Durbar today.

During the meeting, the duo discussed various issues, including North Korea’s efforts to end all problems through dialogue. Speaker Sapkota appreciated North Korea’s efforts towards that end saying that this has given a positive message worldwide.

Speaker Sapkota also lauded North Korea’s role in checking the coronavirus at a time when it has spread globally.

Ambassador Men, meanwhile, congratulated Speaker Sapkota for his new role and wished him all success.

He also informed the Speaker that North Korea is endeavoring to mend ties with different countries.
