Woman dies in accident in Chitwan

CHITWAN: A woman was killed when she was hit by a truck in Bharatpur of Chitwan district on Tuesday.

The deceased has been identified as thirty-five-old Laxmi Subedi.

She was riding on her bicycle carrying milk when a truck bearing registration number Na 7 Kha 4091 and heading toward Gitanagar from Bharatpur hit her.

Police have arrested the truck driver.

Irate locals took the vehicle under control and staged a protest demanding action against the driver and compensation to the victim’s family.
