Himalayan Sherpa Club beats Machhindra Club 2-0



KATHMANDU: Machhindra Club that was placed first in the points table of the ongoing Martyr Memorial ‘A’ Division League has dropped to the second position.

Machhindra faced a 2-0 defeat against Himalayan Sherpa Club at a match played at ANFA Complex on Friday. It is the first defeat of the season for the team.

Himalayan Sherpa took the lead in the first minute of the game with an own goal from Machhindra’s Peter Segun.

Bijay Shrestha of Himalayan Sherpa scored a goal in the 20th minute of the game.

With registering the first win, Himalayan Sherpa has climbed to ninth place in the points table garnering seven points.

Machhindra is second after Tribhuvan Army Club (TSC) getting 13 points from seven matches. TSC has topped the tally with an equal 13 points from six matches.
