World’s shortest man Khagendra Thapa Magar dies

POKHARA: Khagendra Thapa Magar of Nepal who recorded his name as the world’s shortest man has died on Friday afternoon.

He was admitted to the Pokhara-based Manipal Hospital on Thursday following a health complaint.

Magar who was undergoing treatment at the Intensive Care Unit of the hospital was pronounced dead by doctors at around 3 pm.

According to hospital sources, Magar died of pneumonia.

Magar, measuring 0.67 m (2 ft 2 in), took the title of the shortest man from Edward Niño Hernández when he turned 18 in 2010.
