South Korea reports deaths of two Nepali workers

KATHMANDU: Two Nepali migrant workers have died in separate incidents in South Korea.

Bibek Rai from Panchathar, who was working at a pig farm, in South Korea, committed suicide while Nar Bahadur Rana from Tanahu was killed in an industrial accident.

Rai, who had arrived two and half months ago is learned to have complained about mental stress occasionally, his colleagues said. He was found dead inside a farm.

The Nepali Embassy in Seoul informed that the Korean police are investigating into the case.

Meanwhile, Rana met with an accident in course of repairing a weight lifting trailer.

He had arrived in South Korea a few months ago after completing his first tenure of four years and ten months.

According to Dilliram Bastola, Labor Consular at the Nepali Embassy, they are preparing to repatriate the dead bodies to their homes.
