Ward chair Khadka ‘committed’ suicide



BANKE: Krishna Bahadur Khadka, the chairperson of ward 12 Kohalpur municipality of Banke, who was found dead in a hotel room in Bahraich of India on Wednesday, is learned to have committed suicide.

He committed suicide reportedly after he failed to pay off a debt worth around Rs 2 million to a bank.

Khadka’s body was cremated on Friday morning, said Kohalpur Mayor Lut Bahadur Rawat.

Rawat said that a 22-page suicide note was found in the hotel room where he had committed suicide.

Khadka, in the note, said he had failed to pay off the debt that he had borrowed from a bank.
