PM Oli summons Cabinet meeting

Discussions to be held on repealing ordinance



KATHMANDU: Prime Minister KP Oli has convened a Cabinet meeting at 6 pm on Thursday.

Minister for Communications and Information Technology Parbat Gurung said that the ministry-wise agenda would be discussed at a meeting to be held at the Prime Minister’s official residence in Baluwatar.

It is said that discussions will be held revoking an ordinance related to the Constitutional Council brought by the government after it courted controversy.

On Wednesday, it was reported that Prime Minister Oli had agreed with Nepal Communist Party (NCP) Executive Chairman Pushpa Kamal Dahal alias Prachanda to withdraw the ordinance on the Constitutional Council brought by the government on Tuesday.

It was also claimed Prachanda had agreed to withdraw the signature demanding a special session of the parliament.
