12 succumb to COVID-19, Nepal’s death toll hits 727



KATHMANDU: A total of 12 people died of the coronavirus in the last 24 hours.

According to the Ministry of Health and Population, the coronavirus death toll has reached 727 as of Saturday afternoon with the new deaths.

Meanwhile, Nepal has recorded as many as 3,167 new cases of coronavirus infection in the past 24 hours.

According to the Ministry of Health and Population, with the recent data, the total number of cases reached 129,304.

According to Dr. Gautam, 1,800 individuals got discharged from the hospitals in the past 24 hours while the number of people winning the battle against the virus reached 89,840 in the country.

Nepal’s recovery rate stands at 69.4 percent, he added. Nepal currently has 38,737 active cases, he said.
