KATHMANDU: A 69-year-old man has died of coronavirus in Bhaktapur district on Saturday.

A sexagenarian, who was suffering from asthma and pneumonia, was staying in home-isolation after testing positive for COVID-19,, Ukesh Kawan, ward chairman of Bhaktapur Municipality-8, said.

He was diagnosed with the virus in a test conducted at the laboratory of Dr Iwamura Memorial Hospital, Sallaghari.

A corpse management squad of the Nepal Army is making preparations to dispose the body of the deceased in the presence of local peoples’ representative, police said.
