Two youths abscond after buying five tolas gold with fake notes



LALITPUR: Police said that two youths have absconded after buying five tolas of gold with counterfeit notes from a jewelry shop in Lalitpur.

According to police, the youths provided 465 notes in the denomination of Rs 1,000 and left with the gold from Jayanath Gems and Jewelry at Talchhikhel of Lalitpur Metropolitan-14.

It was later revealed that the notes were counterfeit.

The law enforcement agency said that notes were kept in five bundles and one original note was stacked on the top of each bundle.

Police said that they have launched a search to nab them.
