SEE results published

KATHMANDU: The National Examinations Board (NEB) this evening released the result of School Education Examinations (SEE) of the year 2076 BS.

Though 482,986 students had filled the forms for examination, the result of 472,079 students was announced, NEB’s Member Secretary Durga Aryal said.

Aryal stated that the result of 10,908 students was not released for insufficient attendance and mistakes in forms, and were disqualified for not abiding by rules.

Despite releasing the result, the NEB has not made the GPA public that the students obtained. The students can obtain the details through SMS and in concerned websites.

Likewise, there will not be a provision of re totaling, access to see the answer sheets, retest the answer sheets and supplementary examinations for this year.

Member Secretary Aryal said that the students can submit their application within 35 days in the district-based Education and Coordination Unit in case of errors in the personal details.

Though the SEE exams were scheduled to begin since March 19, it was later postponed due to coronavirus pandemic.  Then the authority decided to give authentication to internal evaluation instead of holding the exams.

The result this time was published following respective schools’ evaluations under the internal exams.  The internal evaluation committee under the chair of the respective school principal had sent the evaluation to the Board and the Board published the result based on the same.

Meanwhile, the government has restricted to enroll the students for higher education until August 31.

The provision following the eighth amendment in the Education Act to hold final board examinations in Grade 12 for school level, and to handover the examinations responsibility for Grade 10 to the province level is yet to be enforced.

As per the board, the results can be accessed by dialing 1600 of Nepal Telecom and Ncell. Likewise, symbol number can be sent through SMS number 34949 to receive the result from EG services private limited.
