168 persons in Kathmandu Valley test positive for COVID-19

KATHMANDU: As many as 168 persons in Kathmandu Valley have tested positive for COVID-19 in the last 24 hours.

Speaking at a regular press briefing on Monday, Dr Jageshwor Gautam, Spokesperson at Ministry of Health and Population, confirmed that 168 people have been diagnosed with coronavirus.

According to Ministry, 139 persons from Kathmandu, 15 from Lalitpur and 14 from Bhaktapur have been infected with the pandemic virus.

Similarly, a total of 581 coronavirus positive cases were reported across the country in the last 24 hours taking the national count to 27,241.

At present, 9,639 people are in isolation and 15,198 are in various quarantine facilities.

Nepal has reported three new deaths. With this, the death toll has reached 107.
