COVID-19 kills 51,045, infects over 2,647,316 in India

KATHMANDU: The number of deaths from coronavirus has crossed 51,000 in India.

With 961 new deaths on Monday morning, the number of cases has reached 51,045, according to Worldometer.

Similarly, more 58,000 people were infected in a single day in India.  With 58,108 new infection cases on Monday morning, the number of infection cases has reached 2,647,316.

This is the highest number of infection cases in South Asia and the third in the world.

Currently, 678,195 people are undergoing treatment at various hospitals across the country while 1,918,076 have recovered after treatment.
