Landslide kills three members of a family in Kaski



KASKI: There people have died in a landslide triggered by incessant rains in Machhapuchchhre rural municipality in Kaski district on Friday morning.

According to Krishna Prasad Dawadi, the ward chairman of the rural municipality-8, 16-year-old Kushal BK, Samir BK, 14, and Rejina BK, 16, were killed after Premraj BK’s house was swept away by the landslide at Khorakomukh at 5:45 am today.

Security personnel and locals retrieved the three bodies from the incident site. The landslide had fallen down from 200 meters above the BK’s house made up of clay and stone, informed Dawadi.

A team led by Chief District Officer of Kaski District Gyan Prasad Adhikari and Police Chief Jeevan Ram Shrestha has inspected the incident site, which is 20 km from Pokhara.
