India PM Modi calls all-party meeting to discuss India-China conflict



NEW DELHI: India’s Prime Minister Narendra Modi has called for an all-party meeting on June 19 to discuss the border conflict with China.

The standoff in Ladakh on Monday night resulted in clashes between Indian and Chinese armies on 15-16 June that led to the death of 20 Indian soldiers, including a Colonel rank officer.

Prime Minister’s Office said in a Twitter post said that Prime Minister Modi has called for an all-party meeting at 5 PM on 19 June.

Presidents of all political parties would take part in the virtual meeting.

Meanwhile, the Indian Army has released names of 20 soldiers killed in the clash with Chinese troops.
