Heavy rains coupled with thunderstorms forecast



KATHMANDU: Heavy rainfall has occurred in various places after the monsoon began in Nepal.

Meteorological Forecasting Division (MFD) has said rainfall is occurring in many parts of the country and has urged to take precaution to avoid any untoward incidents.

MFD has predicted heavy rainfall towards the afternoon in one or two places of Pradesh 1, 2 and Bagmati Pradesh today.

Currently, rainfall is occurring in the eastern and central part of the country due to monsoon and in the western part of the country due to westerly wind.

The weather is generally cloudy in some places of Sudurpashchim, Karnali and Pradesh 5 and fully cloudy in the rest of the provinces. Heavy rainfall coupled with thunderstorms and lightning rare predicted in all provinces.
