Nepal reports no new COVID-19 cases in past 48 hours



KATHMANDU: Nepal has not reported new coronavirus cases in the past 48 hours, the Ministry of Health and Population said on Thursday.

Speaking at a regular press briefing this afternoon, Spokesperson Bikash Devkota said that COVID-19 cases in Nepal have not exceeded 16.

Two COVID-19 cases were reported on Tuesday with no cases that have not been confirmed since then.

Meanwhile, Rapid Diagnostic Tests (RDTs) have begun from 69 districts across the country.

According to Spokesperson Devkota, 12,192 RDTs have been carried out and 7,240 samples have been tested through Polymerase Chain Reaction (PCR) method so far.

Likewise, 4,901 people have been quarantined and 103 have been put in isolation so currently.

Health condition of all the 15 COVID-19 patients undergoing treatment is normal, Spokesperson Devkota said.
