West Bengal seals Kankadvitta checkpoint



MORANG: The government of West Bengal State of India has sealed Kankadvitta border point to stem Coronavirus spread.

With the checkpoint sealed for days ago, the import of essential goods have stopped coming, according to District Administration Office, Morang.

Essential goods have also been blocked with the Kankadvitta checkpoint sealed and the initiations are underway with the higher authority to release the essential goods, said Chief District Officer (CDO) of Jhapa district, Udaya Bahadur Rana Magar.

Essential goods including cooking gas, vegetables and foodstuffs were coming through Kankadvitta checkpoint until four days ago.
