Locals halt transportation after two killed in tipper-hit



KAVRE: Irate locals have halted transportation after two persons died in a tipper-hit here on Monday.

They are protesting by burning tires on the road at Panauti Buspark. Locals have demanded action against the tipper driver.

Junimaya Gole, 27, and her child were seriously injured when they were hit by the tipper, Ba 5 Kha 5480. They died while undergoing treatment at Scheer Memorial Hospital.

Police have arrested the driver Nawaraj Thapa of Rosi Rural Municipality-6 and started an investigation into the incident.
