KATHMANDU: Nepali evacuees from China turned jubilant after an aircraft carrying them landed at Tribhuvan International Airport (TIA) on Sunday morning.

They expressed their happiness for a successful evacuation from the coronavirus-hit city of Wuhan.

“Happiness in darkness, from gloomy to cheers; feeling of returning motherland from coronavirus hunted city,” one evacuee shared a video on Twitter.

175 Nepali nationals who were evacuated from Wuhan in the Chinese Province of Hubei have been taken to an isolated place in Kharipati, Bhaktapur.

They will be quarantined at the training center of Nepal Electricity Authority (NEA) for 15 days.
